Four
DVBE Principles to Raise the Standards of Business English Learning |

Business
Simulations to place BE learners into an hour-long
business conversation. Learners will use their reading, listening,
and speaking skills to first understand a business challenge,
then to work through this challenge—just like in real business.
The six DVBE modules give lots
of conversation opportunity. |

Numbers
English to develop the language skills for using
numbers—in any business and technical situation. Only DVBE
gives numbers English a very high priority. If learners can not
do Brag, Brag, Brag well,
they need need more practice with numbers English—if they
are serious about a career in international business or technology.

| Complementary
Online Listening to provide learners a more effective
learning experience. Before the classroom activity, learners work
through a parallel listening activity to gain an understanding of
the simulation and some useful vocabulary and expressions. After
the classroom activity, learners can return to the listening activity
to realize the language they could have used in the simulation.
DVBE’s eight listening activities
reinforce the learning experience from the classroom simulation—at
a time and place of their convenience. |

DVBE
Instructors with a more professional approach to business
English training. Along with ELT teaching experience, these
instructors have acquired skills for basic business, teaching numbers
English, and managing a very dynamic classroom. Their focus is to prepare
learners more effectively for international business and technology. Why
settle for an average ELT instructor teaching with a simplistic BE program?
